Mr. Norup went on to explain how the evolving workforce is bringing with it a new style of working, which in turn calls for new workforce strategies for those companies that hope to effectively compete for talent. In addition to sharing how innovative companies like M Squared are helping to deliver this seasoned, expert talent on-demand, he also discussed a number of strategies and tactics for developing employee value propositions, retention, and recruiting. SVLG.jpgOn March 6th, 2008 M Squared’s CEO, Alex Dodd, was one of a dozen Silicon Valley CEO’s who participated in an interview and roundtable discussion with Gavin Newsom, the mayor of San Francisco. The event was hosted by Carl Guardino, who is CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and aired on 1590AM KLIV in San Jose.

The unscripted and in-depth discussion on a full range of topics revealed a thoughtful leader with a command of facts and figures that was impressive for both its substance and style. With remarks ranging from bold plans for green tech, to homelessness, high-speed rail and the plight of the poor in Hunters Point, his regional leadership was refreshing. To hear the podcast:
