Step 1: Identify the Need
M Squared works closely with the client to determine exactly what the organization is trying to accomplish, to establish success metrics, and to evaluate the best way to get there.
Step 2: Define the Engagement
M Squared creates a document that outlines a proposed approach to the engagement, the expected timing, the consulting expertise required, the estimated budget, and the quantifiable value to the client's business. At this stage, the M Squared representative may seek input from a topic expert like you.
Step 3: Conduct the Consultant Selection
Based on the engagement definition, M Squared's Consultant Service Manager begins the search for qualified talent using the firm's proprietary consultant community.
Step 4: Identify Engagement Candidates
M Squared identifies qualified consultants, and then contacts you to determine your availability and interest in the engagement. At this stage, M Squared discusses and agrees to rates and other terms with you, and then meets with you to review key points of the engagement and discuss your relevant experience and competencies. M Squared also checks your professional references who can speak to your fit for the specific engagement.
Step 5: Present Engagement Candidates to the Client
The client receives M Squared's proposal, along with a summary of your relevant competencies, and meets with you to confirm your suitability for the engagement.
Step 6: Select the Consultant or Consulting Team
After interviewing the consultants presented by M Squared , the client makes the final selection.
Step 7: Perform Final Due Diligence
M Squared completes your final background check and confirms the project deliverables, start date, expected duration, pay rate, and other details.
Step 8: Execute and Manage the Engagement
Throughout the engagement, M Squared works with you to establish milestones and checkpoints for the client. M Squared also helps resolve any employment- or project-related issues that might arise, including redefining the project scope and negotiating project extensions.
Step 9: Submit Deliverables and Transfer Knowledge
As your engagement comes to a close, M Squared works with you to provide agreed-upon deliverables and make any additional findings and recommendations to the client. M Squared also helps you transfer knowledge to the client's in-house team to institutionalize the value created by the project.
