Habitat for Humanity
October 2008 (Los Angeles) - Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty, housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat for Humanity encourages self-help by providing a “hand up, not a hand out.” Our second Habitat project in Los Angeles was building a home for a handicapped family of four. The Los Angeles and San Diego teams were ready to roll up their sleeves and climb scaffolding to help this family in need. From laying down tar on a roof, to measuring and nailing drywall, landscaping, unloading a shipment truck, and reframing windows, M Squared Consulting brought this family one day closer to moving into their new home.
